It seems that every fall season another 'expert' wants to tell all of us how we should be fitting into our jeans. Today's MSN homepage is yet another, gearing us up on how we should be fitting into jeans and what 'top' brands we should be buying. Well you know because that's the brand that everyone else is buying and if they're buying than that means you too should be buying as well...duh! 

But we know as real women who live real lives that this isn't the case.  Most of us don't walk around in stilletos and low rise jeans all day long. No...we wear for comfort, style and function and occasionally to glam up our everyday.  But being that we need to seek out as much dnim information as humanely possible here at My Denim Fling, and denim news, is in most cases news-worthy...so let's take a wander, shall we.

*The Long, Hard Uphill Denim Road*

So as I'm getting advice from 'seasoned' veterans in the advertising and marketing industry I'm getting mixed reviews. Some say, "Sounds great, go with it" others say, "with something so big, do you have the experience in the denim industry or the field?" Now I'm not an ex- Fortune 500 corporate executive, or have a long resume full of all these flashy titles but what I do have is a drive and desire to be successful and help people along the way.  I know there will be times when experience will be needed and for those times I hope to get assistance from those who know more on the subject than myself. 

So while getting started will be tough, I know it will be, I'm counting on my friendliness to others and my determination to pull me through.  Ok all this guru positivity sounds cliche-ish. So in reality I know I'll need some outside help, and I know it will be hard, and eventually I'll probably need to work up a budget in order to do so, but if this is going to work, I'll do what I can to make my venture a success.

My Denim Fling will be a new slant on the denim industry with innovative and interactive  communication between denim consumers and the brands that create and produce them.

*Spread, Spread, Spread the Word*

So the news for today is spread he word.  As with other ventures in the past getting the word out seems to be what has held things back.  We're looking to expand our newsletter network to great heights, and we need Your assistance.  Our goal is to have over 2000 newsletter subscribers before January 2008!  Of course more is better, but we'll start at 2k.  :)

In the meantime were working on generating interest and getting ladies involved with tryvertising designer denim jeans.  We'd like to offer our denim campaign services to our Certified Flingers for either free or deeply discounted say 60-85% or better, this may make the denim brands happy and instill confidence for them.  But this is not set in stone, our campaigns will be governed by matching our Flingers with the appropriate denim campaign. 

So whether your young, old, young at heart, slim, curvaceous, or athletic we hope to have a denim campaign that will suit you great!

If you're just finding your way to our blog here, you may be wondering what in the world is going on here!?  Well I'll tell you. 

We're on a mission to launch a service that will connect small and large denim brands with ladies from all around the country.  Purpose? To generate enough buzz and talk within the industry so that denim brands can truly understand their markets to improve and change which then can increase brand loyalty and assist them in penetrating new and untapped markets. 

While we understand our venture is huge, we're willing to try and give a good 'ole entrepreneur try.  When we finally get all of our data together and we're ready to launch by mid-Spring/Summer 2008, we're confident that we'll have a large network of Flingers ready to share their Flings and a few brave denim brands willing to give our 'Tryvertising' service a try.  And while researching the Tryvertising movement is growing to tremendous size, we'll need to spread the word to ladies willing to get free or largely discounted designer jeans, in return for sharing their experiences on our Fling Forums.

Welcome to My Denim Fling the blog. Our intention here is to share another exciting portal with all of our ‘Flingers’ for more denim brand news, happenings and of course Shopping.

If your here and not too sure what My Denim Fling is, let us briefly explain. My Denim Fling is a unique denim resource that allows any savvy lady to sign-up as a Denim Flinger and then join our Tryvertising Denim Brand campaigns. What this means is that you’ll be in an exclusive group of other Flingers to ‘Try jeans:::Keep the jeans:::Share your flings’.

Let us explain this in another way: We work with big and up and coming denim brands that are looking to connect directly with their consumers, to either learn more about them or to break into a new market and create brand loyalty. We provide a valuable spot on the web where they can do this easy and effectively through our My Denim Fling and Forums.

Our Flingers will get the opportunity to receive a free pair of jeans from different denim campaigns they match up with, they’ll then experience the jeans in their everyday lives, share with their friends and then report their ‘Flings’ back on our forums. Here they’ll chat with other Flingers that experienced the same denim campaigns, and denim brands will have the opportunity to chat and interact as well.

Our Flingers receive a great pair of jeans and in return they’ll share the good, the bad and the ugly on the Fling Forums. Our denim brand clients will learn more about their consumers and have the unique opportunity to directly communicate with them like never before. Not through polls, questionnaires, or focus groups but through honest experienced-based talk.
